2017 is bound to be a big year for Royer Studios and Animate My Action Plan. We'll be rounding out our roster with another Youth ChalleNGe academy, continuing the program at our existing seven sites, and preparing for the summer launch of AMAP Studios, a tuition-free vocational training program for AMAP Phase II graduates.

Fort Stewart helped us get the party started with Phase I for their latest class of cadets.

In Phase I, all cadets participate in the creation of animated short films in which they get to share their stories, highlighting their plans for success following graduation. Cadets have less than six hours to brainstorm ideas, write scripts, plan artwork and animation, create original artwork for five scenes, and record voiceover.

It's a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time and is made possible by teamwork.

All participants write scripts; then each team votes on one script to produce, which these members of the Lady Phoenix are doing now.

Next up, teams select a spokesperson to pitch the scripts to the class.

After recording voiceover, cadets have the opportunity to animate their own films on the iPad.
